Maczot 13 Apps for $13

Maczot is having a sale today: 13 Apps for $13. Here's the catch you have to buy within 13 min windows. There is a timer on the web site to let you know when the next sale is. I was able to get the deal this afternoon after repeated server crashes. Heck of a deal if you can get it. Disco is a cd burning app I have been wanting for a while but didnt wanna spend $30 on it so this was awesome. Good luck to you if you try... hope the servers hold up better than this afternoon.

Calling Jack Bauer

So I was watching 24 tonight and at the end of the episode the terrorist gives Jack a phone number and says call him on a secure line. Being the movie nerd I am I realized he gave out a real number not a 555 number they always use in movies and television. So we decide to call the number and see what happens. It has a voice mail in spanish and something about "24 phone". After a little searching online I discover this a one of the 24 crew's phone number they use to put in episodes for fans to discover.

From the 24 Wiki
The 24 Fan Phone is a phone that belongs to one of the 24 crew members. It first appeared in episode 4x05, on Debbie Pendleton's phone. Viewers noticed it was a valid phone number and began calling it. Some people have been lucky enough to get through and talk to writers, producers, and even the actors from on the set. The phone is normally turned on when production begins and is turned off when it finishes, but currently callers will be directed to a full mailbox.
The phone number is (310) 597-3781, and both the number and a variation of it have made several appearances in the show.

I watched it a day late on my Tivo so I didn't get to talk to anyone but hey I still picked up on a 24 easter egg so good for me... I think it's so cool when producers throw stuff like into their shows. Good fun...

Automatic Black - Free CD -

I heard this group a couple of years ago when they released the single "Go Your Own Way" on iTunes. I thought it was a great song and looked forward to them releasing their full CD. Some way or another their CD never made it to the masses. I heard the song again on shuffle today and decided to look into them again. All I found was a website with download links to their never released CD. It's cool they decided to release it for free to the public. It's pretty good rock. So if you like free music check it out here.
